Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: April 16, 2026

Our Commitment

ezHealthRCM is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including healthcare professionals with disabilities. We believe that accessible technology is essential in healthcare environments, where practitioners rely on our platform to deliver care. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and continuously work to improve the accessibility of our platform.

Conformance Status

ezHealthRCM partially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conforms” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known gaps and achieve full conformance.

Accessibility Features

The following accessibility features are implemented across the ezHealthRCM platform:

  • Semantic HTML5 landmark elements (nav, main, footer, section) for screen reader navigation
  • All images and icons include descriptive alt text or are marked aria-hidden when decorative
  • Interactive elements have visible focus indicators with sufficient contrast
  • Skip-to-main-content link in the navigation for keyboard users
  • Forms use associated <label> elements and aria-required attributes
  • Color is not the sole means of conveying information — icons and text labels supplement color
  • Minimum touch target size of 44×44 CSS pixels for mobile interactions
  • Motion animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query
  • Dialog and modal components trap focus and restore it on close
  • Tables include proper <thead>, <th>, and scope attributes for screen readers

Technical Specifications

ezHealthRCM relies on the following technologies for conformance:

  • HTML5 (semantic markup)
  • CSS (Tailwind CSS with responsive design)
  • JavaScript / React 19 (client-side interactivity)
  • ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where native semantics are insufficient

The platform has been tested with the following assistive technologies:

  • VoiceOver (macOS and iOS)
  • NVDA (Windows)
  • Chrome keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Space, Arrow keys)

Known Limitations

We are transparent about areas where we have known accessibility gaps. The following issues are currently being addressed:

Data visualizations (charts)

Recharts-based bar and pie charts currently lack full ARIA descriptions. Screen reader users may not receive complete data context.

In progress

PDF exports

Exported claim reports are not yet tagged PDFs. They may not be fully accessible to assistive technology.

Planned

Browser and Assistive Technology Support

We support the latest two major versions of:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

We recommend using a modern browser with JavaScript enabled for the best experience with assistive technologies.
